Big Hearts

The lives of many Forest Lake residents are enriched by the support of local community groups and organisations dedicated to helping others.  From clubs and hobby groups, to volunteers assisting the sick or improving the environment, we are fortunate to have so many groups making such a difference.

This year, as part of our commitment to helping our community thrive, we will be giving $20,000 away to local causes.  We are also more than happy to get stuck in and lend a hand, so if you have a project that requires manpower let us know!

Do you have a project or event we can assist with?

Simply email the following details to and we will let you know if we can help.

Please note, we do not make donations to individuals (for things such as study, travel, fundraising) or to official charities, but we would be happy to assist with events (such as Breast Cancer Week or Shave for a Cure).

Grants will be limited to supporting the community within a 10km radius of Forest Lake and all decisions will be at the discretion of the Centre Management team.

So far, we have assisted the following groups:

The Centre's first donation was $1,000 worth of tools to the newly established Forest Lake Men's Shed.

Forest Lake’s Lighthouse Community and Event Centre has expanded its support of the local Foodbank program thanks to the donation of a Polar 1200 litre, double door freezer from Forest Lake Shopping Centre.

Forest Lake State School, Kauri Place, received soft furnishings and a boom box to create a special area for children to relax.
